Position Camp

Our Position Camps are for girls, age 10-18, looking for more intensive instruction in their position.  These camps are open to any and all applicants. 

Each Position Camp will run like an extended JMU Volleyball Practice.  We will start with lots of individual position skill training and then progress to some combination/wash drill play where campers can apply what they learned in skill training.  Finally, we will end with a competitive 6v6 camp tournament where campers can compete and play to win.

Our Setter Positions Camp will focus on setting fundamentals (hands and footwork), setting pins and middles, transition, serving and out of system setting.  

Our Pin (Outside/Right-side) Position Camp will focus on attacking, passing, serving and digging.  

Our Middle Position Camp will focus on attacking, blocking, serving and ball control.  

Our Libero Position Camp will focus on passing, serving, digging and out of system setting.

We will not allow campers to switch between position camps (due to numbers) so please make sure you sign up for the position you want to be in for the entire camp.  In the past, we have had parents sign their daughters up for the wrong position.  Please confirm with your daughter prior to registration as we do not switch positions at camp.  All Campers will have supervised dormitory housing on campus and all meals provided.  Campers will stay in Jennings Hall with up to two campers in each room.

For those campers staying for both Position Camp and Advanced Camp, we offer an extra night stay at Jennings Hall.  The cost is $100.
